Tropical Treasures now have a range of different types of Goldfish and cold water plants available to purchase for pond projects or water bowls. 

The Goldfish varieties we have in-store are:

Shubunkin Goldfish

Shubunkins are a hardy, single-tailed goldfish with nacreous scales and a pattern known as calico. The Shubunkins are of Japanese origin. The Shubunkin was created by Yoshigoro Akiyama by crossing Calico telescope eye with a Comet goldfish and a Common goldfish.

Comet Goldfish

The comet or comet-tailed goldfish is a single-tailed goldfish bred in the United States. It is similar to the common goldfish, except slightly smaller and slimmer, and is mainly distinguished by its long deeply forked tail. Comet goldfish tend to have a diverse variety of colours, unlike the common house pet goldfish.

Fantail Goldfish

The Fantail goldfish is the western form of the Ryukin that possesses an egg-shaped body, a high dorsal fin, a long quadruple caudal fin, and no shoulder hump.
