Transforming a Steep Bank into a Functional Garden Pathway
This project tackled a challenging, steep bank that was previously difficult to mow and unsuitable for planting. To turn this unused space into something both practical and beautiful, we designed a tiered solution that enhances both accessibility and aesthetics.
Creating Structure & Flow: To break up the steep slope, we:
- Installed a meandering pathway, allowing for a natural and gradual descent to the lower lawn level.
- Built retained garden sections, using Corten garden edging to create defined planting areas and prevent soil erosion.
- Improved usability and visual appeal, turning a once-unmanageable space into an inviting feature of the landscape.
The result is a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution, making the bank both easier to maintain and an integral part of the garden’s design.
